In an effort to nurture a love for language and enhance public speaking skills among young learners, St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula, organized a Hindi poetry recitation competition titled Kavyanjali in the junior wing.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who delivered heartfelt renditions of Hindi poems, demonstrating both linguistic flair and a deep emotional connection to their mother tongue. Their performances were marked by expressive gestures, rhythmic delivery, and a confident stage presence, leaving the audience captivated.
Headmistress Cynthia Shear commended the participants for their efforts and emphasized the importance of such cultural and literary activities in the holistic development of students. “Events like these not only celebrate our rich linguistic heritage but also help build self-confidence and refine communication skills,” she said.
The competition served as a platform for students to express themselves creatively while reinforcing the value of Hindi language and poetry in their educational journey.
